I ran across this article not too long ago. It was so inspiring that I wanted to share it with you.
Back in January, seven-year-old Gianessa Wride began developing bald spots on her head, and within three weeks, she had lost all of her hair. She was diagnosed with alopecia not too long after. When her school announced they were having "Crazy Hair Day" her mother didn't want her to miss out.
After a bit of trial and error with things like body paint and temporary tattoos, her mother Daniella found the perfect way to decorate her daughter's head: scrapbook jewels.
"She looked in the mirror and said, 'Mom, this is awesome!'"
I saw so happy to read that they loved her bejewelled look so much so that she was named best "crazy hair" in her class. In honor of September being Alopecia Areata Awareness month, I wanted to show you how this little beauty is representing with all smiles! She proves that Alopecia isn't going to get her down!
